so, yesterday was the big fireworks day here in nz. we went to our good friends nigel and julia's house. they had their youth group around for a bbq and to set off some fireworks. fireworks are so expensive here and only on sale for three days. we decided though that it was worth all the hassle just for the reaction of our little ones. averie was asleep, but cail and nathanael couldn't have been more excited or more entertaining. cail couldn't sit still and wanted to be right next to daddy. she "helped" him set off the fireworks and cheered louder than the teens when they went off. she wasn't scared at all. when it got down to the little ones that were too dangerous for cail to be near, josh brought her to me. i said "cail come and sit with mommy." "no," she said "help daddy, help daddy!" i wish we had our camera with us. it was beautiful just watching how much she loved this new experience.
