the bowlin's

well i think i am getting used to using someone else's computer (at least it is a mac!!) but it is being shared by five adults at this point so the access is limited on a good day. just wanted to jot a quick note to say we are all alive and kicking......

averie mae...
has a new tooth, well her first tooth and the one beside it fighting for attention, trying to get through those gums. she is crawling everywhere and knows that she must crawl faster if someone is coming after her saying "no averie". likes to eat dog food, and gets very mad is you try to remove it from her mouth!!! is lighting up our lives with those beautiful eyes, bright smiles, and funny new laugh!

joshua sean...
is busy learning how to beat his new xbox game (good bonding time with little brother). has hair down to his shoulders (well maybe not that much but it is long). has been making new friends and influencing new people everyday just like he always does and loving every minute. is discovering how to get our debt paid off (and make our first million) by reading david ramsey book!!! is really loving the extra time he has had this last month with the girls and i (of course i am too).

cail grayce...
is two (need i say more?)

rebecca jasmine...
is reading a book about parenting the strong willed child ( i only got through two chapters before dinner but i think i am going to pull an all nighter and finish it before tomorrow!!). has rediscovered crochet. i think i am going to make a matching scarf, sweater, hat, and socks this weekend! just kidding about the matching combo but i am making some cute baby toys and hats!!! loves the date nights and sharing her babies with her family ( i feel as though a huge weight has been lifted since being home. i have stressed out a lot less and am having fun with my family instead of dreading the work that needs to be done. it is a much needed rest.)

to be fair to cail grayce i must add the positives...
she is getting so independent and tackles really hard tasked that i think she could never do and does them with ease. she can make us laugh, loves to entertain and laughs at our jokes no matter how corny. she really loves to sing, we have been singing and dancing every night before bed (keith conner is the best, we've been 'drivin the bus'). her memory, speech, and recognition is amazing. her new favorite thing is go, diego, go. move over dora she's movin on to the boys now i guess!! she has a stuffed doll dora and diego doll and she has to kiss them good night every night. tonight josh comes out from putting her to bed and repeats her prayer for us...

"tank oo desus for dunight, for mommy and daddy and awee and dowa and boots and backpack and map, uhmen."

well, on that note, i will leave you until next week...

long time no see

we are experiencing technical difficulties with our camera, so i will have to borrow some pictures from josh's sister for now. these were a few sundays ago. cail and averie are both getting so big and changing everyday. they love to play together and keep us all on our toes watching out for them. they seem to go in different directions when they are exploring.

the last picture is cail reading and singing to us all. she must get the preacher/public speaker side from
her daddy. she loves to get up on stage after church and make us sit in the front row and listen to her sing.

check out the eyes on that baby in the first picture. she is growing into her big baby blues but they still are big!!! she is such a good baby and a good little sister for cail!!!

home ministry training

here we are at h.q. this week. we have been driving back and forth from marion to indy. a one hour trek each way, each day. cail has had a great time with mamaw (josh's mom). they have been playing with dora dolls, doing dishes (i.e. playing in the water), helping mamaw with the washing, watching the snow and loving all the one on one attention. averie is getting so big, she is crawling and talking (mostly dada dada) and eating everything in sight. she has been being loved on by all the staff here at global partners and my (becca's) mom who has been coming along with us to help out. we are tired from the late nights and overwhelmed by all the info but ready to get out there and catch up with our team. we look forward to visiting all our churches here in the states and having great times of fellowship with our support team state side. we miss all our "family" in new zealand and we really miss the sunshine, but we are loving the time here with our families. more later when our brains are rested from all this new knowledge.
